This course is
designed to educate the candidates in the skills
and knowledge they require to gain an
understanding in all areas of Wall Tiling. |

content and modules: |
| |
|
The topics covered
in this course include:- |
| |
|
How to set out
tiling work - This is one of the most
important parts of the job. It doesn't matter
how good a person is at tiling if he or she
doesn't know how to set out a job properly. |
|
|
|
An explanation of
your toolkit - This will include using both
a wet and dry tile cutter. |
|
|
|
Wall and floor
tiling - Candidates will use tiling beads,
tile around obstacles such as sinks, pedestals,
baths, toilets, cisterns, pans, showers, etc to
achieve professional finishes. |
|
|
|
Understanding
different products - including adhesives,
grouting, silicon, sealants, and applications. |
|
|
|
Pricing a job
- During the course, you will receive
information on pricing a job and various tips of
the trade. Candidates will be given hand-outs
and notes at the end of the course detailing
tiling techniques and materials. |
|
|
|

There are no
entry requirements for this course, and
prior experience is not required. |
|
|
|
Course
duration: |
|
|
5 days or 2
weekends. |
|
|
|
Modes
of attendance: |
|
|
Weekdays -
Monday to Friday 9:00am to 4:00pm. |
|
|
|
Weekend (x2).
Saturday & Sunday 8:00am to 5:00pm. |
|
|
|
Assessment
methods: |
|
|
Candidates will
be assessed on both their practical and
theory based sessions throughout the course. |
|
|
|
Course
outcome / Qualification: |
|
|
Candidates will
obtain confidence, and the knowledge
required to seek employment within the
tiling trade sector. |

|
|
Additional
information: |

|
It
is recommended that candidates bring suitable
clothing to change into, and suitable safety
footwear is essential. All other safety
equipment will be provided. |

materials, course books and handouts are
supplied throughout this course. |
