In August 1998,
A.C.S. (Accredited Certification Scheme) replaced the ACOP's
system. The new scheme includes a core safety module
(equivalent to the ACOP's 1-5), which is a prerequisite to a
further range of appliance modules, which candidates can
choose from, depending on the type of work they do.
To carry out work
on any Gas Installation or Gas Appliance, proof of your
competence is essential. To prove your competence, you MUST
hold a valid A.C.S certification for the type of work you are
carrying out. |
