This course is aimed
at candidates wishing to pursue a career within
the plumbing industry. Success in this course
will allow candidates to progress to NVQ Level 2
once they are working within the trade. The City
& Guilds 6129 Level 2 Plumbing Technical
Certificate is your first steps towards becoming
a fully qualified professional plumber, and
covers the key principles behind both the basic,
and the technical side of common plumbing
practises, as well as covering all related
generic Health and Safety modules using both
practical and theory based learning. |

Assessment
methods: |
|
|
Candidates will
complete various practical assessments and
multiple choice examinations for each
section of the course. Practical assessments
will be recorded, photographed, and signed
off by our qualified assessors, over seen by
a qualified 'Able Skills' Internal Verifier.
This record of evidence will then be used to
build up a course portfolio. |
|
|
|
At the end of
your course, the completed portfolio,
together with the results of your
assessments and multiple choice
examinations, will be submitted to City &
Guilds for certification. |
|
|
|
Course
outcome / Qualification: |
|
|
Successful
candidates will be awarded a City & Guilds
6129 Plumbing Technical Certificate and
allow them to work competently within the
plumbing industry. It also allows them
access to higher level learning
qualifications such as NVQ Level 2 or Level
3, or into other fields such as a
BPEC Domestic
Natural Gas Foundation. |
