Level 1 Brickwork:

Course Overview:

This course is designed to provide candidates with general brickwork knowledge and practical skills to give then the confidence needed in all areas of the trade.

Who is the training for:

No prior training is required for this course which is open to both male and female candidates aged 16 years and over.

Course Duration:

Either 2 weekends (4 days, Saturday and Sunday 8.30am to 5.00pm) or 5 days Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 4.00pm.

Topic Areas Covered:

• Setting out lines
• Brick and block work
• Building a corner
• Building a pillar
• Cavity walls and tie ins
• Pointing

Training and Assessment methods:

Candidates will receive both practical training and theoretical based assessments throughout this course.

Course Achievements:

Successful candidates will gain the knowledge, skills and competence to allow them to move onto higher level training and assessment.

Additional Information:

Candidates are required to bring suitable clothing and safety footwear when undertaking this course.
