Level 1 Stud Walling

Course Overview:

The Level 1 Stud Walling course is designed to enhance the knowledge, skills and confidence required to competently build and install wooden framed stud walls in residential properties to create areas, room dividers and additional rooms, or to create thermal or acoustic barriers between rooms or properties

Who is the training for:

No prior training is required for this course which is open to both male and female candidates aged 16 years and over.

Course Duration:

1 day (Saturday 9.00am to 3.00pm) in house training at our purpose build construction training centre.  Call our construction training centre on 01922 644 440 for start dates and availability.

• Creating a stud wall
• Forming a door opening in a stud wall
• Forming a window opening in a stud wall
• Creating a room
• Ideas on how to put to use information gained
• Ideas on how to run in cables and pipe work (first fix) in stud work
• Insulation and sound acoustics in stud work

Training and Assessment methods:

This is an hands-on practical training and theory based training course.

Course Achievements:

Successful candidates will be awarded Walsall Training Centre Limited certification of competence.

Additional Information:

Candidates are required to bring suitable clothing and safety footwear when undertaking this course.
