Level 1 Tiling (Wall and Floor)

Course Overview:

This course is designed to give a good understanding in all areas of wall and floor tiling and to ensure that candidates feel competent in ALL aspects of the course.

Who is the training for:

No prior training is required for this course which is open to both male and female candidates aged 16 years and over and is also suitable to professionals and experienced tradepersons looking to enter into the trade as well as DIY enthusiasts.

Course Duration:

Either 2 weekends (4 days, Saturday and Sunday 8.30am to 5.00pm) or 5 days Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 4.00pm.

• Health & Safety
• Surface preparation
• Tile setting out
• Tiling on uneven walls
• Tiling techniques
• Use of tile trims
• Use of all tiling tools and the FULL tool kit explained such as differing tiling trowels, tile cutters, and tile saws 
• All aspects of tile cutting and drilling
• Tricks and tips of the trade
• Pricing and estimating jobs

Training and Assessment methods:

This is a hands on practical training and theory based training course.

Course Achievements:

Successful candidates will gain the knowledge, skills and competence to allow them to move onto higher level training and assessment.

Additional Information:

Candidates are required to bring suitable clothing and safety footwear when undertaking this course.
