Level 2 VRQ Diploma in Painting & Decorating

Course Overview:

The Level 2 VRQ Diploma in Painting & Decorating course is designed to enhance the knowledge, skills and confidence required to work competently within the painting and decorating industry and has been specifically developed for delivery in our purpose built training centre using simulated conditions.

Who is the training for:

No prior training is required for this course which is open to both male and female candidates aged 16 years and over and although it has been designed as a natural progression from the Level 1 Painting & Decorating course, it is also available to experienced workers looking to acquire recognised qualifications and certification.

Course Duration:

Carry out safe working practices in construction situations
Knowledge of information, quantities and communicating with others
Building methods and construction technology
Preparing surfaces for decoration
Applying paint systems by brush or roller
Applying standard wallpapers to walls and ceilings
Producing specialist decorative finishes
Know how to erect and dismantle access equipment and working platforms

Training and Assessment methods:

This is a 100% hands-on practical training course and candidates will be involved at every stage of the course.

Course Achievements:

Successful candidates will receive fully accredited Level 2 VRQ Diploma in Painting & Decorating certification and qualification..
