Asbestos Awareness Course

Course Overview:

This course has been designed to help individuals develop an awareness to the risks relating to asbestos containing equipment and materials in the workplace.

Who is this training course for?:

This course typically applies to, but is not limited to, the following:-

• Electricians, Plumbers and Gas Fitters
• Architects & Building Surveyors
• Computing and telecommunications Engineers
• Construction and Demolition Workers
• Fire and Burglar Alarm Installers
• General Maintenance Staff
• Heating and Ventilation Engineers
• Joiners and Plasterers
• Painters and Decorators
• Roofers

Course Duration:

1 day in-house training at our purpose built training centre or can be delivered on-site in the workplace or office (subject to candidate numbers).  Please call a member of our Training Team on 01922 612121 for more details and course availability.

Topic Areas Covered:

• Understanding what asbestos is and its uses

• Understanding the nature of and properties of asbestos

• Knowing which processes release asbestos

• Identifying who is at risk and how to avoid the risks from asbestos

• Understanding the requirements or current legislation

• Risk Management and protecting people.

Training and Assessment methods:

Candidates will be required to successfully complete a written examination.

Please note: This IS NOT an online training course.

Course Achievements:

Successful candidates will be awarded a Cert-ain Competence certification in Asbestos Awareness.
